About my mission

I am Joyce Azzam, the first Lebanese woman that has climbed 26 mountains around the world. I have raised the Lebanese flag on six of the seven highest world summits and I am on track to write history as the first Lebanese Woman to complete the Seven Summits Challenge as I attempt to conquer the famous Mount Everest dubbed The Roof of the World (8,848 meter altitude).

As a Conservation Architect, I bring together the world of adventure and architecture. My love for the outdoors has inspired a passion to research innovative approaches to protect and conserve cultural heritage sites, specifically “Cultural Routes & Landscapes.”

While my dream is to complete the Seven Summits by climbing to the top of Mount Everest, I plan on going even further by reaching the 2 poles and becoming the second woman in the world to complete the Explorers Grand Slam. While my mountaineering achievements are personal accomplishments that I am proud of, my true purpose is to inspire young girls and women around the world to follow their dreams and challenge themselves by overcoming any stigmas or barriers, societal or other. “YesYouCan!”
